The films based on real life incidents and life histories of leading personalities are being made as films. It seems that, these kinds of subjects inspire the filmmakers of the present day more than any other kinds of subjects.
Earlier, Ekta Kapoor surprised everyone by making the film “Once Upon A Time In Mumbai”. She is back with her next venture “The Dirty Picture”, which is directed by Milan Luthria. This is a biopic based on the life of the Sexy Siren Silk Smitha. Vidya Balan plays the lead role of Silk Smitha in this movie.
As the time set up of this film is few decades older, Director Milan desired to bring in the mood of the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s. Films of those days had very detailed settings, uniformed Choreography, etc were inseparable aspect of the old songs then.
So, to bring in that same old feeling, Director ordered two truckloads of oranges for a sensational song sequence in this film. it was choreographed by Pony Verma. This Song was filmed on Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah and shot at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Naseer plays the role of a South Indian superstar. In the South Indian filmy style, 1000’s of Oranges were rolled down a hillside for the filming of the Song.
Just few months ago, a Song for the Hrithik Roshan starred “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” was filmed like this. For this, the crew celebrated the Tomatina Festival in Spain. In this annual festival, the people throw ripened Tomatoes on each other and celebrate the occasion like the Holi festival in India.
