Osthi Tamil Movie Review
Silambarasan, after his versatile movie Vaanam is back with ‘Osthi’. This is a remake of Hindi blockbuster Dabaang which starred Salman Khan & was directed by Abhinav Singh Kashyap. Simbu will be doing a cop role in Osthi.
Dharani wore director cap for Osthi. Ramesh of Balaji Real Media is producing this movie while Reliance Entertainment is distributing it. Tollywood girl Richa Gangopadhyay did female lead actress in Osthi. Richa came out with a good performance in her recent movie Mayakkam enna.
Plot of the story:
Simbu who plays cop role in the story lives with his step-brother and mother. He is daring and dashing cop. Meanwhile, he comes with lot of money stolen by goons. Goons tries to get their monwy from the cop.
But he fights with them and he himself keeps the money. Local politician played by Sonu sood wants to stole the money from the cop and hence plays a drama that the money belonges to his party. Simbu refuses to give the money.
And cop’s brother played by jithan Ramesh eye on the money waits for a chance to get them. On the other hand, two brothers falls in love for two girls. Simbu falls for Richa ans his brother for Saranya Mohan.
Brothers begin quarrelling for the money. And Simbu’s mother killed under mysterious environment. Jithan tells to sonu sood that he had killed simbu. And sonu reveals he had killed Simbu’s mother. Knowing this, Simbu takes revenge on Sonu sood. Movie ends with unity of two brothers and their wedding with their loved ones.
Cast performance:
Simbu tried to look as Salman khan but he can’t succeed in his attempt. However he managed through dances. We know that he concentrated on his fitness and framed up himself 8 pack. And he took special training for fight sequences.
Richa was good in her role. Her dancing sequences in saree are simply sizzling. Jithan was good in his character. Sonu sood once again proved his mettle as baddie. He is the villain in original movie also. Saranya with her homely looks is good.
Technicalities:
Camera work is good. Song sequences came out good. Thaman who composed music is good. Songs composed by him are good he needs to take little bit care on background music. Dharani is good in taking action flicks. Director has shown hate love and friendship between siblings. But he failed in narrating the movie with thrilling sequences.
Final word:
Worth watch once…
