‘Kaadhalil Sodhappuvath Eppadi’, a short film made by Mohan Balaji won the award in the finals in the ‘Naalaya Iyakkunar’ short film contest conducted by a private channel.
The short film was then uploaded in the Youtube and received the highest hits for any Tamil short film.
‘Boys’ Siddharth, who happened to see the short film, could not resist and approached Mohan Balaji that he himself would produce the film if that was made to feature film. Balaji agreed and how the feature film ‘Kaadhalil Sodhappuvathu Eppadi’ came into production.
The Film features Siddharth and Amala 
Paul in the lead roles and some of the actors who did small roles in the shortfilm are also acting in the feature film too.
The film depicts the love-hate relationship of a couple.
“I have experienced many Sodhappals in my love affairs. Yes, I’m experienced with many love relationships that I had in my life. This experience made me to do the film,” says Siddharth.
Mohan Balaji has written and directed the film and Thaman S has scored the music. Nirav Shah has handled the camera.
Siddharth’s Etaki Entertainment along with Y Not Studios is producing the film.
The film is releasing on February 17, 2012!
