Vijay’s ‘Thirumalai’ Director Ramana Fighting Cancer!

DirectorRamana‘Thirumalai’ was the movie that took ‘Ilaya Thalapathy’ Vijay to the track of mass action-masala films! The films that followed this 2003 film action-masala films kept the cash box ringing for the actor. Vijay emerged as a mass hero in Tamil cinema. And, credit goes to director Ramana, who directed ‘Thirumalai’!

But, life had something in store for this man. Director Ramana is battling the deadly cancer now! One among the good-hearted persons in Tamil industry director Ramana and his family went into grave shock when he was diagnosed throat cancer! The man is now home-ridden because of the disease and the treatment.

“Yes, it was a shock for me and my family. But, we are as normal as others. I’m confident that I will defeat this. Cancer is curable… who says it is not? My wife is my pillar of strength. She and my children are there to support me in my fight. I will come back and again start directing films,” says the confident director!

Ramana had worked with many top directors including R K Selvamani. After ‘Thirumalai’ he did ‘Aadhi’ with Vijay again and ‘Sullan’ with Dhanush. The director also acted as hero in a movie called ‘Kuthirai’ that is yet to be released!
