Senior Actress S N Lakshmi Passes Away!

Veteran actress S N Lakshmi, 85, had a cardiac arrest this morning and was rushed to hospital, where she was declared dead.

The senior artist complained of severe chest pain early this morning and the family members immediately took her to the hospital but she breathed her last on her way.

The mortal remains is kept at her Saligramam residence where a large number of film personalities including top and senior actors, directors, producers and technicians are making their way to pay the last respects to the senior artist.

S N Lakshmi made her debut in ‘Chandralekha’ in 1948 and was acting in films and TV serials till the time of her death. She has acted in more than 1000 films including hits like ‘Mahanadhi’, ‘Michael Madhana Kamarajan’, and ‘Vaanathai Pole’.

She has shared screen space with almost all top actors of Tamil cinema and veterans of other south Indian industries including M G Ramachandran, NTR, Rajkumar, Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Ajith and Vijay.
