‘Nanban’ was released for this Pongal and declared a big success with the film running to packed halls in many places. The film is also been granted the Tax exemption as it is a clean ‘U’ certified film and fulfills all the criteria of the new rules led by the Government of Tamil Nadu for getting the exemption. And, ‘Nanban’ is the first film to get this exemption!
Team ‘Nanban’ has thanked the Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for granting tax exemption and this has been conveyed to the Chief Minister’s office and also been published in the dailies.
‘Nanban’ is directed by Shankar and features Vijay, Ileana, Jiiva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj and S J Suryah in the lead. Harris Jayaraj has scored the music and the film is produced by Gemini Film Circuit.
