Janani Iyer was introduced in director Bala’s ‘Avan-Ivan’ and the pretty actress who made heads turned with her debut movie is currently doing ‘Paagan’ with Srikanth.
When quizzed how she is going to meet the challenge that she has in establishing herself in Kollywood, where already a big lineup of actresses are ruling the roost, Janani says, “Movies just happened to me. I’m here to do good roles. I’m not comparing myself with others. I’m not in the rat race. I’m just one film old and ‘Paagan’ that I’m doing now is the second where I have a good opportunity to perform in the role. I only want to do more roles like this that is different and challenging!”
‘Pagaan’ is directed by Aslam and along with Srikanth and Janani Iyer comedienne Kovai Sarala does an important role in the film. The film is planned for August 2012 release.
