Director S J Suryah Turns Music Director!

He made those big blockbusters – Vijay’s ‘Kushi’ and Ajith’s ‘Vaali’. His ‘New’ was another hit! But, when the director continued his screen act, the films that came after the above ones did not do well at the box-office. And, he shifted his base to Tollywood for a Telugu movie.
Now, the talented director S J Suryah is returning to Tamil cinema both as director and actor. The director is doing a bilingual – in Tamil and Telugu, ‘Isai’ that he is acting, directing and producing. And, to the surprise of everyone S J Suryah is scoring the music also for the film. “Yes, I’m composing music for my film. When I approached A R Rahman he was very busy with previous commitments and he told me that I myself could do the music. But, I did not have confidence and looked for a new face. When I was left with no option I decided that I myself will do the music”
Suryah is also doing a vital role in Shankar directed Vijay’s ‘Nanban’ that is releasing this Pongal.
