Captain Vijayakanth’s ‘Oomai Vizhigal’ Being Remade?

A Kollywood birdie chirped that 1980s super hit thriller film ‘Oomai Vizhigal’ that had Captain Vijayakanth in lead role and a big star cast is being remade now and the director who is going to remake the film is director Vincent Selva, who made hit films ‘Priyamudan’ and ‘Youth’ with ‘Ilaya Thalapathy’ Vijay.
But, the director instantly denied these reports and said, “I’m now doing a remake of the film but a new story and script that is a thriller. I wanted to have the title of ‘Oomai Vizhigal’ for my new film and approached Aabavaanan, the filmmaker, but due to some reasons I could not get the permission to use the title”.
It is learnt that Vincent Selva is now making his new film with a title ‘Moongil Vizhigal’ and very soon he is to go floors once the major cast and crew are finalized. Karthi and Sarathkumar are being considered for the protagonist and a vital role in the film.
