‘Udumban’ Audio Launched

The music of film ‘Udumban’ was launched in a function that was organized to felicitate legendary poets ‘Pavendar’ Bharathidasan and Pattukottai Kalyanasundram on 09.01.12 at Prasad Lab theatre, Saligramam, Chennai. A line-up of famous poets and lyricists were present to stage their lines on these great poets.
Mannar Mannan, son of Bharathidasan and K Kumaravelu, son of Pattukottai Kalyanasundram were the chief guests in the function. The audio of the film ‘Udumban’ was released by Pulamai Pithan and Kaviko Abdul Rahman and received by Mannar Mannan and K Kumaravelu. Director S P Jananathan spoke at length in the function.
The film features Bike racer Rogger, Natchathira, Malayalam actress Radhika, Sana, Keerthika, Pragadish and Cumbum Meena in the lead role.
The film is written and directed by Ramji S Balan. Music is also done by him. Kichas has handled the camera and lyrics are from the poems of Bharathidasan and Pattukottai Kalyanasundram. The film is produced by S Jaganathan under the banner Modern Cinemas.
‘Udumban’ tells a story about a rustic village youth and a girl, who comes to the village to do a cultural research. The relationship that is developed between them and the consequences are the knot that is untied in the climax.
The film is releasing this month end or in February.
