Film ‘Urumi’ Audio Launched

The audio launch of the film ‘Urumi’ happened recently in a gala function at Satyam Cinemas that was attended by a galaxy of top celebrities of south.
The presence of renowned director Mani Ratnam, A R Murugadoss and actor ‘Ilaya Thalapathy’ Vijay made the event very big. The function looked very different with the chief guests speaking very limited words saving time. The tracks were released one by one – one celebrity releasing one song!
While speaking at the occasion, Mani Ratnam praised the works of Santosh Sivan and shared his experience with the ace lens man. Vijay expressed his eagerness by saying that he could not wait working with Santosh Sivan in his next film with director Murugadoss.
Arvindaswamy, director S J Suryah, lyricist Vairamuthu, the film’s producer and actor Prithviraj’s mother Mallika Sukumaran also spoke. Singers Haricharan and Swetha Mohan enthralled the audience with their live performances.
The film that was released early this year was a big hit in Malayalam. It was later released in Telugu and declared a huge hit in Tollywood also. Now, the blockbuster is being released in Tamil.
‘Urumi’ is written by Shankar Ramakrishnan and co produced and directed by Santosh Sivan. The film features Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Genelia and Arya in the lead. Deepak Dev has scored the music for the film. The film is about the story of the warrior clans of Northern Kerala and the arrival of Vasco Da Cama in India in the 16th century.
